Coughs

M2 had a cough this week and a cold but seems to be coming through well. M1 is now dry coughing with a little fever...his turn I guess. I am worried about him though. It makes me irritable and snappy too. W was a turkey with school work and ineligible to play this week. A bummer for us too, we love to watch him play. Hope this lesson will remind him to stay on top of it since he missed playing this week.

So thankful mom and Ed got home safely, and hope they had a great trip. Also,so happy Rusty made it back home to them! I know they would have been heart broken. We are all super excited to see them next weekend!

Tried to call my bro today. We will try again tomorrow. He has been on my mind a lot lately and miss him terribly. Love ya, Jose!

Praying for a lot of people right now. This has been a hard week it seems for everyone. The devil is so persistent to get a hold of us and throw these boulders in our way. We all need to remember our own perseverance for the Lord will always triumph, and to give it all to Him, that can turn the boulders into pebbles. Sometimes I have to say it out loud, "Lord, I give this all to you. I trust in you. I have no use for the worry or negative thrown at us. I know that my family and i are in no better hands than yours."

I pray you have a wonderful and blessed week ahead!

Leaf Peepers

Sorry it has been a month and a half since a post. September just ran away from us!

The traffic has been crazy up here with 'leaf peepers' checking out the changing aspens as this is supposed to be the peak weekend. They are beautiful!! E got an award a couple of weeks ago for having a great attitude in school. C had a blast going to the Peak. The team won Homecoming!!! YEA!!! They did a great job!! W went to the dance last night, but didn't stay the whole time. Some of his buddies made him dance a slow dance with this girl so he actually danced!!! A first I'm pretty sure!! S and C are doing a singing club at school and get to sing at the tree lighting. They are pretty excited about that. J has a concert next month and got his dress clothes today. He looks pretty sharp. I got to help with the pre-game meal and decorate last Friday. It was nice to meet some other team parents. M & M like school and still go pretty great (Thank you Lord!!). We were able to get a scholarship for one so that helps a lot! S is doing an astronomy club and C is in student council. E is doing a choir club, a school news show, and possibly drama club. T has another part time job. We haven't talked to him a whole lot, but hopefully soon. They are all busy but enjoy it! I'm so proud of all of them! Mike is still looking for funding for this franchise so we will keep praying if this is what he needs to be doing and if not point him in the right direction. Please pray for him too.

I think we found a church!! Thank you , Lord!! E and I went today and it seems really laid back and quite welcoming. God has blessed us so abundantly!! We are truly thankful every moment! His creation is so beautiful this time of year and I will post pictures of it soon. The rain is in the air, the leaves are turning, Halloween, Thanksgiving;  this is my favorite time of year!!

Give thanks in abundance and may you be blessed abundantly!!

Friday!

Today was a roller coaster for most everyone between being grumpy and happy. No real reason. Everyone ended up decent though. E was upset realizing I won't be home in the mornings with them before school. Told her if it was a day job I may not be there either and definitely not in the afternoons when the come home. Hope she is better. Hurt my heart though. W got his little uniform for pictures tomorrow. Should be interesting a 4x body in a 2x pants and jersey. He looks sharp though...its exciting. Still not sure what team he will be on but Mike is pretty positive he will be varsity. First scrimmage on Friday will be fun for him I hope. We met E and J teachers tonight and they all seem pretty nice.

Tomorrow there is a motorcycle parade in WP for a POW-MIA bike ride to Cripple Creek and hopefully get there to see it.

Mike made a super yummy blueberry cobbler from Cook's Country (I think) last night. Can't wait for you to try it! The magazine has lots of great recipes we want to try! Yum mm mm!

Hi!

I think everyone had fun last night, C said she got cold and took a nap in the stands. Lol
I think W really likes football so far, even just being a part of a unit. They have to order a helmet for him so a guy came to measure his head during practice today...he was too short to measure his head that the coach had to measure it! He takes pictures on Saturday for the programs this season. It's exciting and exciting for Mike too, not to menton extra proud to say that's his son out there! I will post pictures as soon as we get them.

Talked to Mom tonight! Boy we miss and ready to see them as soon as we can! We are happy to here how Ed is healing/improving. Talked to Joey through Facebook yesterday, pray they have a safe trip to Iowa. We miss them too! We would still like to take a trip out there to visit sometime.

Pray for Ed, Joey's studying and safe trip, Sonja's appointment next month.

Midnight madness

W is home! I think he had fun and is enjoying football so far. He only has pads that fit at the moment, so no pants, jersey, and helmet yet. He had a really long practice today and midnight madness tonight where they have full practice at midnight for everyone to check them out.

Mike is our in house chef...he's making beans today. Smells good...lots of bacon!

Looked like it snowed up on Pikes Peak yesterday, pretty neat.

Excited today is my Friday for the week! Yea!

Love ya! :o)

Visit from Calrsbad

We had the Wells and Frintz crew here last night for a great visit! Too bad I had to work and they couldn't stay later, we all had fun, especially see the huge bucks across the street!! We missed them but made us miss grandma and papa even more! I appreciated them coming up to see us on their vacation and bringing us some things from our house. They are supposed to go up to Pikes Peak today in the Tahoe...that should be interesting as it made me nervous driving up there and I'm not a screamer like Joana!! HAHA!! Hope to hear from them how it went. It is a pretty amazing drive and view from the summit!

W gets back from football camp tomorrow. I miss him and drives me crazy I can't call and make sure he's ok (like he can't take care of himself or anything). He's my baby and growing up so fast!! I hope it will be a great couple of days for him and he will have met some nice friends.

We have a middle school open house to get E and J's schedules tonight. I think E is pretty excited. She is doing much better this week attitude wise. She's just on a hormonal and emotional roller coaster that we are all on for the ride! She did do something pretty funny the other day. Apparently she didn't know that the shop vac has a hose to go to it, but knew the side circle on the shop vac sucked, so she put it on its side and pushed it across the floor!!! HAHA!!! Dingbat girl!! That is one all of will remember for her future husband and kids!!!

Missing my parents and brother!! <3<3<3

This week

We got the kids all registered with the schools this week. They are all nervous and excited about the same time understandably. I am proud of all of them to adjust so well to everything. W is going out for football and we got his physical, cleats, and sleeping bag today. I'm super proud of him for going for it!! He has football camp next week which will be a new and exciting experience for him. Mike cut his hair mostly off today. I REALLY like it and so does he! Weirded out the kids when I said he looked hot! Mike and the kids are all doing great with the house and I so appreciate all they do. I am truly blessed!! I am very thankful Ed is feeling better, still hurting but better. Keep praying for him please!

We had a great dinner and dessert tonight, kind of celebration of my first full paycheck!! YEA!! I enjoy work a lot and never thought I would like it so much with pediatric patients. God's plans really are so much better than ours could ever be!

We love the mountains! The sights and smells are beautiful!! I have about an hour commute but it is the most beautiful commute. I really enjoy it! It gives me that time to pray, thank, and talk to the Lord.
Speaking of beauty, let me know if you catch the meteor shower (Perseids) tonight.

Have a wonderful night!

PS Amish bread in a few days!! YUM!

Blogging beginning

I've been thinking I need to do a blog because sometimes there are things I want to tell everyone like how great God is to us and just to let you know how we all are doing. Sometimes there are a million things I want to call up mom and say, it gets late, and we both get busy, but it doesn't take away the fact I'm thinking of her and wish she could read my mind (which she does often :oP).

So here is our link to catch up on us!
